In the download section, you will find items that may be useful from a SOLIDWORKS administration perspective. If you are interested in something that is not displayed here, feel free to contact us. It is important to note that the library is provided as-is, and we cannot assume responsibility for the results, provide any warranty, or be held accountable for issues that may arise later. However, we have dedicated significant effort to its development, using it daily in our implementation projects and improving it frequently.
Yes, all files can be used independently of the book; however, we recommend purchasing the book to understand the background and reasoning behind the methods used. Buying the book also helps support us, the authors, in continuing our workâwork that has already required hundreds of hours of research, testing, and compiling these files into a cohesive and functional system.
All our libraries, PDM Standard configuration files, and example library files can be found here:
Weldment profiles
Based on our experience, Weldment profiles are the most commonly custom-created content. While many are available for download, users often prefer to create their own. In the following ZIP files, you will find the most common profiles. These profiles come with an Excel table, where the length is included in the description field. If you need a description without the length, simply open the table and change ‘Y’ to ‘N.’
As expected, profiles are largely localized content. It is advisable to check what your suppliers offer in practice and remove sizes from the table that are not available in your region
